I'm playing hooky (not an uncommon attribute of mine) to spend the morning with her on her big day. I'll be making huckleberry heart-shaped waffles for her in our waffle schmoosher that, for some reason, makes the noise of a psychotic, dying bird to let me know that it's done. Then we're off to get mani's and go shopping at our favorite thrift stores!!!I have always loved this Polaroid of her and my Aunt Catherine (my mom is on the left). I enjoy finding old pictures of her. And I can't help to wonder so many things about what she was like at my age. It reminds me most, though, of how thankful I am to have her as my Mom.
